Phoenix Auctions Visit Photos

I had the pleasure of attending auction events on Thursday Jan 19th and Friday January 20 in Phoenix, Arizona. On Thursday the trip included Doug Taylor, George Arthur, Ernie Pesquiera, Bill Badger, Andy Szedlus and myself. Doug Taylor rented a Chysler van for the two day long event. It worked out great. It was a seven passenger van and with the addition of a Garmin GPS we had a pleasurable trip up and back. We left from Ernie's at 7am both days.

The first day we went to Barrett Jackson and Russo and Steel. We saw great cars at both events. Many British cars. At Russo and Steel an MGA went for $15,000 and an Austin Healey Sprite went for $8,750.

The second day the group included Doug, Ernie and Dave Cummins.We went to Goodings which is held at the Scottsdale Fashion Mall. We had lunch at Nieman Marcus and went to the R & M auction at the Biltmore Hotel. What a spectacular facility with FranK Lloyd Wright design touches. At Goodings we saw a Jaguar E-type sell for $95,000. R & M featured a free breakfast, including Bloody Marys for those who arrived early. Sample catalogs were available at each event.
