JCSA Concours D'Elegance 2011

On Saturday October 29th St Philips Plaza in Tucson, Arizona was arrayed with a stunning selection of Jaguars old and new as the Jaguar Club of Southern Arizona held its 39th Concours D’Elegance.  The quality on display was quite exceptional with three classic models attaining the maximum score of 100 points. What a privilege it was to have such cars at our event and to be able to gaze in wonder at these exceptional examples of the marque we all love. Royal Jaguar brought along three of the latest models so the 28 Jaguars on display ranged from the classic era right through the entire history of Jaguar production. Once again our concours provided a rare opportunity to see cars in the flesh that gave rise to the mystique of Jaguar. The entries were scored by our excellent team of judges and the fact that so many superb Jaguars are brought to our concours is testament to the high regard in which our judging is held.
A Halloween cocktail party was held on the previous evening at the Windmill Inn as a social get together  to welcome all competitors, especially those who had travelled long distances to take part on our event. The range of costumes was quite hilarious and a fun time was had by all.
The culmination of our Concours D’Elegance was the Awards Gala Dinner on Saturday evening held at the Westward Look Resort. The
location is of course very special with pre dinner drinks being taken on the patio overlooking the city lights where we chatted and discussed how enjoyable the event had been. The dinner in the Palm Room was excellent and was preceded by an address by Tom Krevetz, Director of the JCNA South West Region who was also kind enough to present the awards to the deserving class winners.
Royal jaguar sponsored our event most generously once more for which we are very grateful. Their continued support over the years has made a great contribution to the success of our club so we say a huge thank you to them as indeed we do to all of our sponsors.
